His brother found him in the bathroom at the home.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. -

Donald DeWulf had lived in his Grosse Pointe Woods neighborhood for years, perhaps as many as 15, according to neighbors who are stunned to find out about his death.

DeWulf, 54, lived alone. He was found by his brother Monday morning in the house on Hampton Road near Mack Avenue.

No weapon has been found anywhere in the home. Originally, police were called to the home for a suicide. What became apparent to neighbors is that something was very strange about it as detectives stayed at the home for easily 10 hours.

Neighbors said they knew something was very wrong. They have had a hard time comprehending someone was killed on their street.
