WARREN, Mich. -

Comic book lovers have their own mini local version of Comic Con to look forward to this February.

The Great Lakes Comic Expo will be held Saturday, February 16 at the John Lewis Center/K Building on the South Campus of Macomb Community College in Warren. It will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The expo will feature activities for all ages. You can watch comic artists sketch and try your own hand at drawing superheroes. People will also be dressed as Star Wars characters.

The expo is also a chance to get your hands on a special comic book. One lucky visitor will win Amazing Spider-Man #4.  The 1963 comic features the first appearance of Sandman.  It has a value of approximately $400.

Admission is $5.  Kids 10 and under will get into the expo for free.  The event also includes free parking.
