Gray skies return with a few showers Friday

Cloudy and a bit wet Friday

Andrew Humphrey!

DETROIT – Clouds converge on Metro Detroit Friday morning, but not much will fall.  It will be cold with lows below freezing, near 30.  If there are any flakes or rain mixing with snow, it will be north of the Motor City into the Thumb.  Slick spots will be few and far between much of the morning, but watch Local 4 News Morning and JustWeather.com for any changes.  Friday afternoon will have temps just above 40 degrees, and a few scattered raindrops may appear.

Saturday will be drier and milder with partly to mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low 50s.  Some rain returns Sunday but afternoon temps will be over 10 degrees above average, in the middle and upper 50s.

A Woopdie-do warm-up is on the way Monday with highs in the low 60s and higher winds.  Enjoy it while it lasts with flag football or buying a Christmas Tree because Tuesday and the rest of next week gets colder with a cold front.
