Stephen Grant, who was convicted of murdering his wife, has transferred to his new home in the Michigan Prison System.

Grant, 38, of Macomb County's Washington Township, was transferred to Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility.

Grant was moved March 13 from the state's inmate processing center in Jackson. He was taken there after being sentenced in February to 50 to 80 years in prison in his wife Tara Grant's slaying and dismemberment.

Grant is in protective custody because of his notoriety. He has his own cell and is being isolated from other prisoners.

A spokesman said Grant has not caused any problems.
