DETROIT -

Gleaners Community Food Bank and 104.3 WOMC are working together to solve child hunger.

Their second annual radiothon is Wednesday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All donations for the event will be matched, dollar for dollar, thanks to sponsoring partners Sodexo, Kroger, and PNC bank. This means every dollar you give will provide six meals for hungry children.

All Hunger Heroes who make an annual commitment of $20 per month will receive a WOMC Radiothon T-shirt and a pair of tickets to an upcoming Pistons game.

Last year, the radiothon raised $377,177, providing more than 1.1 million meals for hungry children.

You can donate online at or listen Wednesday for the number to call.

Gleaners was founded in 1977 and is one of the oldest and largest food banks in the country.
