Fitness camp created by father, son pair from 'The Biggest Loser'

Camp offering a free membership to Morelli teen fitness camp

SOUTH LYONS, Mich. – Ron and Mike Morelli are offering a free membership to one teen to participate in their fitness camp. The Morelli's were finalists on NBC's "The Biggest Loser." Mike's brother, Max, also helped create the camp, which helps fight childhood obesity.

They want to help teens shed the pounds and gain a healthy lifestyle by sharing their weight loss secrets.

Now, the Morelli's are offering a free pass for this year's summer teen fitness camp. Teens ages 12 to 18 can participate. The way to win the free pass is through a writing contest where you write, in 300 words, how attending a weight loss and nutrition day camp this summer would improve and make a difference in your life. The deadline to submit an application is June 15. To enter you will need to send your name, age, phone number, city of residence and a photo of yourself along with your essay. Click here for more information.

The teen applicants are required to have a physical, and once clearance to participate is received - participants are selected on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited. The cost for the seven week camp, which includes meals, is $1500. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.

The Morelli Teen Fitness and Nutrition Day Camp, often called the "Morelli Kids Camp" is also accepting applications for the seven week camp that will run June 25 through August 10, 2012 in South Lyon for ages 12 to 18 of all fitness levels.
