DETROIT -

The Fennville High School boys basketball team lost Monday in a Class C playoff game against Schoolcraft High School 86-62.

The emotional winning streak finally came to an end almost two week's after player Wes Leonard, 16, died from cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.

On Wednesday evening, one day after teammate Leonard's funeral, Fennville beat Bangor High School 79-50 to advance to the Michigan Class C district final.

Leonard's parents said the Fennville basketball players spent every night in their house since Leonard's death.

Leonard's mother, Jocelyn Leonard, said the players slept on the floor because she could not let anyone in his room.
