DETROIT -

The Fennville High School boys basketball team won another game days after its star player died.

One day after teammate Wes Leonard's funeral, Fennville beat Bangor High School 79-50 Wednesday evening to advance to the Michigan Class C district final.

Leonard died March 3, minutes after hitting the game-winning shot for Fennville. Doctors confirmed he died from cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.

Fennville will play in the district championship Friday.
