Farmington Hills substitute teacher charged with sexual assault of teenager

A 58-year-old substitute teacher from Farmington Hills has been charged with sexually assaulting student under 13-years-old.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -

A 58-year-old substitute teacher from Farmington Hills has been charged with sexually assaulting student under 13-years-old.

Andrew Howell has worked as a substitute teacher for 25 years.

Howell has been charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct for an incident involving a student during school hours at a Farmington Hills school. The alleged incident happened on March 19.

Howell is being held on $1,000,000 cash or surety bond. A preliminary exam is scheduled for April 12.
