The Red Cross is assisting families who were displaced by a fire at an apartment building in Madison Heights.

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. -

The Red Cross is assisting families who were displaced by a fire at an apartment building in Madison Heights.

The first broke out late Tuesday night at The Heights apartments near 13 Mile and Dequindre Road.

There is no word yet what caused the fire.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to those affected.
