Andrew Humphrey!

A cold front arrives Monday to put a damper and a chill on Detroiters.

Monday morning will be wet with rain showers and temperatures in the 50s.  The rush of cold air will drop temperatures during the day.  The thermometer will decrease from the 50s through the 40s to the upper 30s by the end of the afternoon.

Rain gear will be needed for students in the morning, and their coats and other warm clothing will be needed for the afternoon.  Also, wind speed will increase to 10 to 20 mph with gusts 25 mph or higher.

Monday night becomes colder with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 20s to low 30s by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday and the rest of the week will be sunnier and remain chilly with daytime temps rising slowly.  Tuesday afternoon will be partly sunny with highs barely passed 40 degrees.  Wednesday and Thursday will be sunnier, but highs remain in the low to middle 40s.  Friday's afternoon temperatures will be closer to 50 degrees with partly sunny skies.
