Former NFL player Mark Grabowski, who is accused of kidnapping his 11-year-old son, is scheduled to appear in Macomb County Circuit Court on Thursday.

Since the accusations, Grabowski's parenting time with his son, Connor Grabowski-Cracchiolo, has been suspended. Judge Katrhyn Viviano has not granted him any supervised parenting.

Connor was found safe in September on a pheasant hunting ranch in South Dakota. Grabowski was arrested at the River Hills Lodge ranch in Platte, S.D. where he was employed after leaving Michigan.

The 53-year-old former professional athlete spent time in training camp with the Detroit Lions. He lives in Hartland Township, Livingston County, where he is charged with unlawful retention of a child by a parent.

Grabowski was supposed to bring Connor back to his mother, Kelly Evans, in St. Clair County's Casco Township, on Aug. 30. They had been sharing custody. The couple separated before the boy was born.

Grabowski has retained attorney Felice Iafrate in his fight to regain visitation rights while he attempts to gain custody.

Connor now is with his mother in Richmond, Mich. The custody case started in 2001 in Macomb County.
