A dog is the lone victim of a house fire Wednesday morning on the Detroit-Hamtramck border.

Fire officials at the scene on MacKay Street near Burnside Street said the house is a duplex and that only the woman and the dog were home when the fire started.

The woman was able to get out OK, but the dog died.
