Detroit police are asking for the public's assistance in the search for a 70-year-old man diagnosed with cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

Police say a family member last saw Willie Davis on Wednesday walking away from his home in the 19000 block of Evergreen Road. He has not been seen since.

Davis is considered in poor physical condition, police say.

He was last seen wearing a black coat with a hood, dark blue jeans and black shoes. He is described as black with a medium complexion. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 154 pounds. He has black and gray hair.

Anyone with information on Davis' whereabouts is asked to contact the Detroit police Criminal Investigation Bureau at 313-596-5240.
