DETROIT -

The Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team found and arrested one of Wayne County’s most wanted fugitives on Thursday.

Adam Davis, 24, was convicted of 2nd degree murder for running over his girlfriend with his car.

Davis pled guilty in Wayne County Circuit Court but failed to appear for sentencing on November 30.

Police say he cut off his tether and disappeared.

He was found at an apartment building on the 700 block of Chene in Detroit, said Wayne County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Bates.

Police say a tip helped them find Davis without incident.

A date for sentencing on the manslaughter charge has not been set.

Davis is expected to face additional charges for the escape.

He was among the top fugitives listed on "Wayne County’s Most Wanted"
