Detroit firefighter injured at house fire

A Detroit firefighter was injured Friday afternoon while battling flames at a house at Forest Avenue and 17th Street.

Detroit EMS was at the home. Details of the firefighter's injury are not known. However, it does not appear to be serious or life-threatening.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire gutted the home before firefighters could douse the flames. It is not clear if the house was vacant or occupied.
