Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee returns home and avoids the media

ROMULUS, Mich. – Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee is back in town to face a sex scandal that got him suspended, but he isn't ready to reveal his side of the story.

Godbee landed at Detroit Metro Airport around 7 p.m. and he couldn't avoid Local 4's cameras, though he did dodge questions about allegations of affairs and reports of him planning to resign.

"I'm on the way home now, I just got home. I had an opportunity to speak with an attorney," said Godbee.

When asked was he having an affair with Internal Affairs Officer Angelica Robinson he responded, "I can't make any comment right now. It's an open investigation."

Then Local 4 cameras found a woman getting off the same flight minutes before Godbee. Sources tell Local 4, this is the woman who traveled with the chief to San Diego for the police conference. Sources also say Godbee's chief of staff was sent to San Diego to escort the woman off the plane after landing in Detroit.

The only one talking right now is Robinson, who blew the whistle on this alleged scandalous love triangle that rocked the city.
