DETROIT – Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Detroit has not seen a holiday like this in a while.
First, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the City of Detroit, Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties until 10am. Drivers must use extreme caution as they travel to America's Thanksgiving Parade and to see relatives and loved ones. It will be extremely difficult to see other motorists, highway exits and pedesrians.

Morning temperatures will be in the low 40s. This is much milder than average and spells absolute comfort for parade participants and spectators. The wind will be from the southwest and light for balloon handlers. Any fog will disappear during the parade.
Thanksgiving afternoon will be warm and bright with highs near 60 degrees. Lions fans can wear their favorite jersey with just a sweatshirt underneath or a light jacket to Ford Field.
The next cold front arrives after Thanksgiving dinner. It will bring scattered showers and much chillier air the to Motor City Area by Friday morning. Bargain-hunters must bundle up before heading out to find deals. Temperatures will fluctuate between the low and middle 40s on Black Friday and streets will get wet. The wind will become stronger, too.
The rest of the holiday weekend will be colder and blustery. Saturday will have a few flurries with morning temps in the 20s and afternoon temps in the 30s. Even with increased sunshine, Sunday's highs will barely reach 40.
