HOWELL, Mich. -

Howell police said the death of a northern Michigan man who was found Tuesday with an arrow in his chest was suicide.

In a release, police said 53-year-old Chris Martin Allen was found laying in the corner of a parking lot on Curzon Street. The arrow was protruding from the left of his chest and a cross bow was found next to his body, police said.

Police said Allen, who is from the Wellston area, was staying with relatives in an area apartment since the holidays.

A final note to his family was found, police said.
