Adoba Hotel will open Nov. 1 at site of former Dearborn Hyatt

DEARBORN, Mich. – The former Dearborn Hyatt is getting a new name and management team.

Atmosphere Hospitality Management announced Monday that it is taking over the 772-room hotel and will reopen it as the Adoba Hotel Dearborn/Detroit on Nov. 1.

"We are thrilled to be part of this community and excited to resume business as usual. Most importantly, we look forward to serving our guests and working with such a well-regarded team of employees, as the Adoba team begins a process of due diligence, with the intent to purchase this hotel," said Adoba Hotel CEO and President Jim Henderson.

The hotel's future had been uncertain after the Hyatt Group said it wasn't renewing its contract with the hotel earlier this year. More than 600 employees were given layoff notices when Hyatt Group said they were leaving. It wasn't immediately clear if those employees would be able to stay employed under the new management.
