Crime Stoppers offers reward for Brownstown Township woman's killer

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Brownstown Township police say they have a person of interest in the murder of a single mother but not enough evidence to bring charges.

Zita Kvasys, 46, was found shot to death in her home Halloween night. Police believe she knew her killer.

Kvasys' family, including her sister who came from Lithuania, are appealing to the public to help find her killer.

"She was the happiest when this happened," said her daughter, Monica Kvasys. "She was the happiest. She was the happiest in her life than she ever was and someone took that away from her. They took her away from all of us. Please, it anyone knows anything, anything at all, please help us."

A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Tips can be called in anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
