Crews battle heavy smoke and flames in Southfield

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

An early morning fire had firefighters busy in Southfield Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out with heavy smoke and flames around 5:30 a.m. on the 20000-block of Avon Lane.  It's not clear if anyone was inside the house when the fire started, but no injuries have been reported.

Crews are investigating to find out what started the fire.
