CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Two men who robbed a Clinton Township gas station Tuesday morning may also have been involved in other recent robberies in the area.

Police said two men used a crowbar to smash the glass of the front door at the Marathon gas station on Garfield Road at Clinton River Road in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday.

They took cash from registers and stole cigarettes before escaping.

The robbers wore bandanas as they broke in, but the face of one robber was visible from security camera images.

Police said it is possible the two robbers were also responsible for robberies at two pharmacies in the area.

The robbers are believed to be operating on Detroit's east side and eastern suburbs.
