Clinton Township police search for gas station clerk's shooter

The 42-year-old clerk at the Mobil gas station at Harper Avenue and Denton Street was shot four times during a robbery attempt.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Clinton Township police are searching for the gunman who shot a gas station clerk early Tuesday morning.

Police said the 42-year-old clerk at a Mobil gas station at Harper Avenue and Denton Street was shot four times. The clerk is in critical condition.

The gunman didn't take anything from the station.

Police said they are reviewing the gas station’s surveillance video and may release it later in the day. They also said the gunman was dressed in several layers of clothing and had a scarf over his face.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Clinton Township police at 586-493-7840.
