CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police arrested a man in Clinton Township who confessed to stealing gas out of cars in the area of Romeo Plank and Canal Road.
Police say 22-year-old Allen Surkovisch drilled holes into several car tanks to reach the gas inside.

In the process, Surkovich only got about one gallon of gas from each car before the rest spilled out onto the ground.
Police say he has a drug problem and confessed to stealing the gas and damaging the vehicles.
Surkovich is charged with malicious destruction and narcotics possession.
