Chilly start Monday, then warmer

Monday begins in the 40s

DETROIT – Students may want to grab their jackets before heading to the bus stop for the first time this school year. 

Monday morning temperatures will be in the upper 40s in Detroit and middle and lower 40s in the suburbs.

Fortunately, it will be dry as drivers check their heaters for the first time.  The afternoon will be sunny and milder with highs in the low 70s and a north wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday night will be fair and cool with lows in the middle and upper 50s.

The rest of the week will be warmer. Sunshine will reign Tuesday with afternoon temps in the upper 70s. 

Sunny skies continue Wednesday and Thursday with highs above 80 degrees.  Friday may have a few showers with daytime temps in the low 80s.
