Chilly, but delightful end of the week

DETROIT -

Friday morning will be fair and cold with lows near freezing.  The rest of the day will be sunny and seasonable with highs in the upper 40s.  High school playoff football fans will need to bring blankets and dress in layers Friday night with temps back in the 30s.

Saturday will begin with fog for college tailgaters at Michigan Stadium and Michigan State.  The Wolverines host Iowa, and the Spartans battle Northwestern.  Sunshine will return with highs near 50.

Sunday will be have a repeat performance outside Ford Field.  Morning temps will be in the 30s with Lions fans staying close to the grill to stay warm.  Afternoon highs will be near 50 as the Lions take on the Packers.
