DETROIT -

Organizers have announced that the Challenge Detroit urban revitalization competition is back for a second year.

The project's goal is to help invigorate the Detroit region by attracting and retaining innovative leaders who will bring their intellectual capital and talents to the city.

Challenge Detroit is currently accepting applications for 2013-14 fellows.

The 30 applicants selected will spend a year in Detroit working at one of the program's host companies. They range from major corporations such as Chrysler to smaller ventures such as ePrize.

Participants get a $500-a-month housing stipend and a $30,000 salary.
