RIVERVIEW, Mich. – A candlelight vigil was held Thursday night for a Riverview teenager who was killed in a car crash Tuesday night on Interstate 75.

Amanda James, 15, died when the car she was in hit a median in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Newport Road.
She was thrown from the car and hit by another car.
Police said she was sitting in the back passenger seat and wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
The vigil took place at the Riverview High School. Hundreds gathered to mourn the loss of James.
Michigan State Police have not released the name of the driver. Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash.
