DETROIT -

Thursday morning will be cold and dry with lows in the 20s.  The day will be perfect for Southeast Michigan skiing, shopping and getting ready for the Holiday Season or winterizing homes.  It will be mostly sunny with afternoon temps in the low and middle 40s.

Thursday night will become partly to mostly cloudy with lows near 30.

Friday morning will start with rain and snow showers as moisture hits cold air.  By midday and Friday afternoon, temps rise above freezing and rain will fall.  It will be chilly, though, with daytime temps in the upper 30s.

The showers are ahead of milder air for the weekend and early next week.  Saturday will be mostly cloudy with highs near 50 degrees.  Sunday will have scattered rain, but temps will climb into the low 50s.  Above average highs will dominate Monday and Tuesday, too.
