BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Part of Wing Lake in Oakland County was closed off by police tape on Saturday after someone spotted a body near the water.
Bloomfield Township Police say that the body was found next to the lake in the overnight hours.
Other sources confirm to Local 4 that the body is that of a male in his late teens.
Originally, people living in the homes surrounding the private lake believed somebody may have drowned in the lake. This was not the case as the body was not in the water.
A resident says the teen would have to be either a resident, visitor, or in a rare case, someone who knew the area that may have brought the teen here.
The name of the teen or any other information has yet to be released. No foul play is suspected and no arrests have been made.
The body is in the Oakland County Medical Examiners Office. An autopsy is expected to be performed on Sunday.
