Bloomfield Township police said they busted a guy driving his riding lawnmower drunk down the sidewalk after leaving a drug store.

On March 22, while on routine patrol in the area of Woodward and Square Lake, police said officers noticed a riding lawnmower stopped in the parking lot of the Rite Aid.

Police said the officers watched as 47-year-old Roy Walton exited the store, got on the lawn mower and drove it down the sidewalk.

When officers stopped Walton, they discovered he had been drinking.

He was arrested and charged with felony operating while intoxicated.

He has prior convictions for the same offense.

He has posted a $25,000 personal bond.

The lawnmower was impounded.
