Becoming wetter and windier Tuesday, Wednesday

Showers develop Tuesday and Wednesday

DETROIT – The low pressure system drenching The South is moving north to bring showers to Motown Tuesday and Wednesday.  Scattered showers will arrive Tuesday morning with lows in the 50s.  Afternoon highs will be in the middle and upper 60s with more widespread rain for the PM rush hour, Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. 

It becomes windier, as well as wetter, Wednesday with morning lows in the upper 50s from Tuesday night.  Winds will increase to 20 mph or more during the day.  Rain continues throughout the day.

Thursday will be drier and milder with highs back above 70 degrees.

A separate cold front arrives Friday.  This will bring showers back on that day and chillier air for the weekend.  Saturday and Sunday highs will be in the 50s and morning lows will be in the 30s.
