Average weekly gas price dropped 12.3 cents in Michigan

DETROIT -

Michigan motorists will find the average gas price dropped 12.3 cents this week, reports AAA Michigan.  

The state's current average is $3.446 per gallon, up 14.9 cents from last year.

The average price for self-serve regular fell 9.2 cents in Metro Detroit over the past week, with the average at $3.478 per gallon.

The price is 18.7 cents higher than last year.

AAA surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
