At least one person is injured and has suffered burns after an explosion at a Harrison Township apartment complex.

The Mount Clemens Fire Department confirmed that some type of explosion happened at the Beechwood Apartments, around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The force of the explosion was so strong, police say the building had been knocked off its foundation.

Residents were evacuated and are not allowed back into the building until further notice. The Red Cross is coordinating assistance for the displaced residents.
