The Knight Arts Challenge is offering up to three million dollars to winners who have a vision to enrich Detroit.

The challenge invites applicants to come up with ideas to transform the City of Detroit through the arts.

There are three rules for the Knight Arts Challenge:

1) The idea must be about the arts.

2) The project must take place in Detroit or benefit the city.

3) The grant recipients must find funds to match the Knight Foundation's commitment within a year.

The contest begins March 25.  Participants can apply until April 22.
