Yet another fee for airline passengers, but this time, some may find it worth the extra $9.

Ben Popken reports on that United Airlines is offering passengers an expedited trip through security for as little as $9 per segment.

"Premier Access" offers the perks once reserved exclusively for preferred customers.

Besides zipping through security, Premier Access also gives customers priority boarding and faster check-in.

"It’s the type of option that our customers tell us they value," United Airlines spokesperson Mary Clark told NBC News.

In a press release, United said it will set limits on the number of people who can partake "to ensure the benefits are available to the airline's premier-level frequent fliers" and eligible card members.
