4th annual "Christmas In January" food drive

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

Southfield-based real estate company Farbman Group is hosting its 4th annual "Christmas in January" food drive to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank on Tuesday, January 29th.

Recommended items to donate include peanut butter, tuna fish, salmon, chicken, stew, ham, chili, beef ravioli and beans.  Also, individually-packaged healthy snacks for children, including fruit cups, applesauce, cereal bars, fruit bars, granola bars, snack crackers, pretzels, tuna-to-go and 100% juice boxes with no added sugar.  Personal care items can be donated as well, including toothpaste, deodorant and soap.

Each person who contributes five cans of food or $5 at any of the five drop-off locations will be entered for a chance to win an iPad mini, complements of Farbman Group. 

The food drive runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29th.  Drop-off locations include:
