$2,500 reward offered for information in Detroit coach's shooting death

DETROIT -

A $2,500 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of a Detroit high school girls basketball coach.

Charles Knott, 54, was shot to death in his car Tuesday night outside his Detroit home. Police suspect someone in a black Jeep is responsible for the murder. Knott was shot multiple times and robbed.

The Cody High School basketball coach had spent decades teaching students hoops. He was retired from the school.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering the reward. Anyone with information regarding the crime should call Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
