Detroit Edison is working to repair several downed lines after a gravel hauler caused an electrical pole to break in Taylor.
DTE confirms around 500 customers are currently without power in the area.
Traffic lights in the area of Ecorse and Telegraph are out after several power lines came down on Monday.
The accident left a large hole in one of the outside walls of a commercial building in Taylor.
A gravel hauler caused a power pole to break and pulled down a number of electrical wires on Ecorse Road in Taylor
DTE crews are on the scene sawing down the pole and disconnecting wires.
