2 charged in Farmington Hills apartment complex carjacking

Joshua Miller, Jasmine McReynolds charged in incident at Fairmont Park

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A man and a woman arrested for a carjacking at a Farmington Hills apartment complex were charged Friday evening.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office charged Joshua Miller, 18, and Jasmine McReynolds, 20, in connection with a carjacking Wednesday at the Fairmont Park Apartment Complex.

Miller and McReynolds were charged with assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, carjacking, unlawful imprisonment, second-degree home invasion, and assault, resisting and obstructing a police officer, authorities said.

Farmington Hills police said Miller was also charged with third-degree fleeing a police officer, and stealing or retaining a financial transaction device without consent.

Bond was set at $500,000 for both Miller and McReynolds.

Miller's and McReynolds' next court appearances are set for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 2 for a pre-exam and at 9 a.m. Feb. 4 for a preliminary examination, police said.
