DEARBORN, Mich. – A 12-year-old boy from Dearborn was hit by a car while riding his bike across Schaefer Road on Thursday around 11:30 p.m. Police say the boy was near the intersection of Schaefer and Henson Avenue when a Chevy Malibu hit him while he crossed Schaefer.
The driver of the Malibu is also from Dearborn.

The child was taken to Children's Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The driver of the Malibu was uninjured.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
