DETROIT -

Detroit police have two suspects in custody after a carjacking and an apparent attempted carjacking and shooting.

The first carjacking happened at 3rd and Baltimore near Wayne State's campus. It happened between 12 and 1 a.m. Monday morning.

No one was hurt in the incident but the suspects were able to get away with the vehicle.

The second incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on Detroit's east side. The suspects were apparently attempting to steal the victim's 1966 Pontiac and shot into the vehicle. Both passengers in the car were hit. They called 911 in Detroit but drove themselves to the Harper Woods Police Department.

The suspects actually followed them and were arrested around 1:45 a.m. right behind Harper Woods Police Department.

The shooting victims did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
