What jobs are available this summer?

It's summer, and like many other people, it's time to find that perfect summer job.

There are a number of jobs out there in fields besides your typical food and retail openings. Employers are hiring all ages.

"The audience of candidates range from college students to just job seekers looking for full time employment," said Dionne Minner, who is with Kelly Services. "The salary range could range from, gosh, anywhere from $9 and hour on up," said Minner. "So entry level positions in all categories."

Minner helps place people in jobs this summer. They're jobs that are still hiring not that you might not have thought of.

"Some of the hottest jobs that we're actively recruiting for right now and placing people on are the administrative assistant opportunities, ranging from your entry level office clerical opportunities all the way up to the executive level office clerical," said Minner.

Other positions still hiring include light industrial, like assembly positions, machine operator positions as well as customer service and even call center opportunities. But that's not all -- there are IT opportunities, engineering openings, app developers, network engineers and the list goes own. These positions don't require years of experience and can be for just the summer months or longer, if needed.

"A wide variety of different types of opportunities ranging from temporary help, temp to hire as well as direct hire," added Minner.

But with so many opportunities how do you know which one is right for you?

"Think about the skills that you possess and those skills being transferrable into another industry or another role. Don't get discouraged. Keep the search going," said Minner.
