Red Wings recall Emmerton; Andersson out with injury

DETROIT -

The Detroit Red Wings have recalled forward Cory Emmerton from the Grand Rapid Griffins while forward Joakim Andersson is out with a lower-body injury, according to the team.

Emmerton has appeared in 9 games this season with the Red Wings, tallying two assists. The 25-year-old has 29 points in 31 games with the Griffins this season.

The Red Wings take on the New York Rangers at 7 p.m. Thursday night in New York.
