DETROIT -

Pavel Datsyuk is hoping to return to the Detroit Red Wings lineup for Thursday night's game against the Florida Panthers, according to the team.

Datsyuk has missed the past 14 games with a leg injury. The Red Wings say he will make a decision on whether to return for the Panthers game after Thursday's morning skate.

In 35 games this season, Datsyuk has 15 goals and 32 points.

He is the captain of Russia's Olympic team.
