Almost 10 percent of the population knows the aggravation of an achy wrist, a weakened grip, numb and tingly fingers, often diagnosed as carpal tunnel syndrome

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says it’s a leading cause of missed time on the job. But the pain doesn't have to be permanent.

According to the Mayo Clinic, surgery can help ease the pain some patients suffer from and get them back to performing their daily activities.
