Local 4's Brandon Roux goes to the cider mill and also has tips on the best apples for your favorite dishes.

We know apples are a big deal in the fall. So, we want to make sure you’re picking the right ones.

We asked the experts about which apples are best for which favorite foods.

If you just want to eat an apple, they recommend Honeycrisp.

If you’re making an apple pie, go with Ginger Gold or Jersey Mac.
