This local mom says she's living a healthier lifestyle by not having chemical-based cleaners in her home - and she is helping others do it, too.

A mom in Hazel Park has rid her home of chemicals and is only using homemade cleaners.

Jessi Conti is sharing some of her natural recipes with Local 4.

All-Purpose Cleaner

1/2 tsp of Castile Soap (like Dr. Bronners)
1 Cup of Warm Water
1 cup Club Soda
10-15 drops of Essential Oils ( like tea tree, lemon, orange, lavender)
1/2 tsp of baking soda

Add baking soda last and let the fizz calm before putting on the top of bottle

Window Cleaner

1/2 cup White Vinegar (can use infused vinegar)
1/2 tsp Castile Soap
10 drops of Essential Oil
1/2 cup Water

Room Freshener

1/3 cup Vodka (the cheap stuff will do)
2/3 cup Water
15 drops of Essential Oils ( I like Lemon/Lavender blend)

Con will also be sharing her methods during a class at the Community House in Birmingham.

Thursday, February 20th from 7:00-8:30pm -Only $22
