Visual – New Digital Video Screens
Fans will experience the thrill of live music closer than ever before with the installation of new high-definition video screens that complement acoustic and sound upgrades completed in 2014. Two sparkling rectangular-shaped high-definition digital LED displays measuring 10-feet-high and 19-feet-wide at stage right and stage left will capture performers in a fully immersive video experience. Three additional high-definition LED displays (8.5-feet-high and 15.5-feet-wide) will be attached to the pavilion fascia to enhance the visual experience for guests on the lawn and hilltop. Capturing all the action on stage are four new robotic cameras and two new hand-held cameras. The new video screens, camera technology and production facilities combined with state-of-the-art acoustic paneling, will completely transform the way guests experience a concert at DTE.
Technological – Point of Service
A new point-of-sale (POS) system being installed at both DTE and Meadow Brook will provide faster service and quicker lines throughout each venue. The implementation of mobile devices throughout both venues will provide additional terminals for customer relations while decreasing transaction times and increasing speed of service.
Experiential – Food and Beverage
The most noticeable food and beverage enhancement for the 2015 DTE/Meadow Brook season will be the unveiling of the new 18-foot "Palace Roadhouse Barbecue" Food Truck. Serving the house smoked barbecue from its own 4-feet-wide by 6-feet-long smoker, the truck will serve a wide assortment of brisket, ribs, chicken, hot links, sausages, sandwiches and sides from the time guests arrive in the parking lot until the time they exit. The "Palace Roadhouse Barbecue" will roll its way to events at DTE, Meadow Brook and The Palace throughout the summer.
DTE fans continue to enjoy a wide array of dining choices inside the venue as well:
- The Arbor is open to all DTE patrons and is the destination for post-show drinks and food. Open an hour after the show ends, fans can keep the good times rolling with DJ entertainment and late night food favorites served alongside an assortment of beer choices and specialty cocktails.
- The Pine Tap, the official home for Blue Room Affinity Club members, offers a wide array of craft beers, Mexican street fare and specialty cocktails. Becoming a Blue Room member is free and signing up is easy at www.palacenet.com/blueroom.
- The Bud Light Hilltop Deck is a fun and casual space at the top of the DTE Energy Music Theatre lawn, overlooking the venue with full food and beverage access and open to all lawn patrons.
